Ep 143: Super Duper Cute AIMExpo Roundtable

17 Oct

AIMExpo 2015 – Orlando, FL. Chuck’s back and, once again, he’s hanging around with James from The Pace and Steve & Crash from Cafe Racer / ADV Cafe podcasts. Along for the ride, we have Spencer Hill, the Gear Dude. After two days at AIMExpo, we sit down to do a roundtable. Joining the motley crew is Jessica Prokup, PR for Twisted Throttle, to give us her industry perspective of this year’s show. Join us for 90 minute bull session among seasoned industry observers and Chuck’s nose-picking asshattery.

Ep 140: The One With Jen’s Gate

28 Aug

So, this week, we’re talking to a sidecar racing team. We’re also talking to friend of the show Jen about… an issue. She never did get back to us with a picture…

I have no idea if this is them.

Our guest this week are Russ Miller and Fabio Petruccelli, a racing team of the Sidecars Racers Association. They’re going to come on and tell us all about what it’s like to go really fast on a track on a sidecar rig. Here’s a couple more pics they passed on to us.

Russ also sent along some pics of sidecar racers from the Isle of Man:

Not a good idea.

And since we’re on the subject of Cancer…

10 Aug

And since we’re on the subject of cancer and fighting it, Ken Blasor sent us a heads-up for a motorcycle charity ride against prostate cancer (which struck me as oddly ironic)! Here’s his page as well!

http://www.gentlemansride.com/rider/azuwere

For more information and getting in on the ride yourself, check:

http://www.gentlemansride.com/

In brief (from their page):

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a celebration of the art of being dapper and the style of classic custom motorcycles. What does that mean, you ask?

Think: Monocles, jaunty trimmed moustaches, silk vests, crisp shirts and tailored suits.

Ride: Café Racers, Bobbers, Classics, Flat Trackers, Scramblers and quirky, undefinable two-wheeled machines.

Do: Bring your finest manners, neatest beards and a sense of fun and adventure.

Pay: Nothing to ride (entry is free); but please consider helping our charities by getting your friends and family to sponsor your involvement

Help Micheal and the Lazarex Foundation!

10 Aug

An old old friend of mine is doing a charity run for Cancer. Both of my parents had lung cancer. I lost my Pop to it directly. Complications caused by it contributed to there being nothing the doctors could do for my Mom’s congestive heart failure that led to her passing.

My friend beat cancer and he’s running to raise money for it. Please check it out.

Ep 139: The One With A Cop

7 Aug

Here’s one we’ve been really excited to bring you for awhile now. Recently, a couple of motorcycle officers from Salt Lake City Police took part in a national motocop competition and one of them placed second overall. He’s in studio as our guest to talk about the competition and being a motorcycle officer. This episode will have an upcoming second part where we have some video to followup the interview! We also have all our usual nonsense…

“I’m so lost right now.”

Our in-studio guest this evening is Officer Jaron Harker of the Salt Lake Police Department. He took second place overall out of eighty-five entrants in a national skills competition. You can see the story here. Below is the video of the L.R. memorial run that we talk about during the show where he finishes his run with a basketball shoot and a bitchin moonwalk.

Ep 138: It’s Always a Farmer’s Daughter

24 Jul

So, *this* was meant to be the short chattersode. Not last show.. which actually turned out to be closer to an hour and half once I remembered to put in the part talking about Motus. This is the one where we make fart noises at each other for like 45 minutes. ENJOY!!!
