Hate Mail

In response to Episode 28: Chuck Has to Go

Gentlemen; I am sure you will excoriate me for sending this. I just finished listening to the episode with Ghazi Farooq. I was hoping to get some interesting information from the cast as I have been looking at the Teiz website recently and am in the market for technical gear. Unfortunately any value was lost in the cackling and other shenanigans that went on. Luckily I was listening in my car, as I would hate to have the Beevis routine in my headset on the bike.

Podcasts really fall into 2 categories; professional and sophomoric amateurs. Too bad you guys chose the latter. There is a lot of potential particularly when you were talking about the fairing for the Ural. Of course anything intelligent quickly deteriorates into the cackling. I found myself wondering what the hell you we’re talking about most of the time.

Do us all a favor and listen to some other podcasts that are at the top of the charts on iTunes. Good examples are the Mac Roundtable, Pace Podcast, WTF with Marc Marin, Mac Geek Gab, Guy on Girl with Aisha Tyler, Radio Lab, and This American Life. You guys should aspire to those and not Beevis and Butthead. All of the podcasts provide great value as well as funny bits and no cackling.

David

I’d like to think of us as junior amateurs. Sophomore year was a rough one in high school. – C

Hate Mail: I’m not sure which is worse, being mocked by you guys because my Buell(s) is/are not running, or being [silently] mocked by the two bikes in my garage.

    I’m sooo angry.

The new Honda, sans automatic transmission is looking pretty tasty as I step down to my garage to eyeball my Super TT and my axe… hmmm, would it be worth it?

    Maybe.

Being mocked by us is far more preferable than silent Buell(s). That sucks, man, I thought you had it all straightened out?

Boy, one of your commenters really hates laughing. He seems convinced that your show is doomed to failure because you guys crack yourselves up during the show. Has he ever heard of a little program called Car Talk? They had a good little run of 35 years. đŸ™‚

I just found The Wheelnerds, as well as The Pace Podcast. The Pace features two guys chatting quietly over Skype about the rain liner in an Olympia jacket. The Wheelnerds sounds like two riding buddies drinking beers and goofing on each other.

Each show has its merits, but I’ll be tuning in more often for Wheelnerds.

Well….I love the Wheelnerds Podcast……it is great…..in fact, you might not be nerdy enough…..I have experienced a lot of nerdy things in life, and you barely move the needle…..but that’s fine, it is still a great podcast. Keep up the good work.

still catching up on back episodes since I found your podcast, great show! Also that hate mail guy mispelled Marc Maron, he spelled it Marc Marin so HE’S sophomoric.

Hey in the new Top Gun 2, with Tom Cruise reprising Maverick, do you think the GPZ900 will be back, all weathered & beat up even more? Or will he have a new ride & what do you think it will be?

      I’m betting on a Burgman 400.
